Grady Winton Gulley

COOLIDGE - Grady Winton Gulley, 92, of Coolidge died Nov. 3, 2007.


The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the Church of Christ, with Joe Whitner officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.

Mr. Gulley was born May 19, 1915 in Huntsville, Ala. He served in the Army during World War II as a medic assistant in Europe. He was a corrections officer for the state of Arizona before retiring at age 67.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Coolidge and served as an elder and deacon. He was an avid gardener and loved his vegetables and fruit trees. He enjoyed spending time with his family playing cards and dominoes and loved to tease people.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie; four daughters, Betty Johnson of Mesa, Judy Trudel of Fargo, N.D., Rebekah Schnack of Wrightwood, Calif., and Beverly Metevia of Phoenix; two sons, Bill and Paul Arnold of Coolidge; 18 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Zelta Mae, in 1971, and a son, Jerry Arnold.
