Gloria Ann Mclearn

Gloria Ann "Grandma Velvet" McLearn, 80, a longtime Casa Grande resident, died Feb. 4, 2009.


Mrs. McLearn was born Sept. 4, 1928 in Independence, Kan., and was a daughter of Harold and Adele Todd. She was a secretary before retirement. She enjoyed going to casinos, gardening, camping and reading. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Hampton of Casa Grande; a brother, Don Todd of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les; a son, Kurt McLearn; and a grandson, Bobby Powell.
