George R. Hamzik

George R. Hamzik, 81, of Casa Grande died on March 30, 2015, in Mesa.

Memorial Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Mr. Hamzik was born on Aug. 29, 1933, in Windber, Pennsylvania. He served in the military and later was a tool and die maker. He liked fixing things and was a hardworking, "go-to" man. He loved cars and racing when he was younger. He also loved animals, was very charitable and very close to his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara A.; two sons, Robert D. Hamzik of Philadelphia and George J. Hamzik of Traverse City, Michigan; two brothers, John Hamzik of Youngstown, Ohio, and Thomas Hamzik of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and a sister, Marie Bruner of Strongsville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Hamzik.
