George M. Woodruff

George M. Woodruff, 88, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 11, 2014, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor David Woodruff officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Woodruff was born on March 20, 1926, in Takoma Park, Maryland, and was a son of Ruth E. Durning and William L. Woodruff Sr. He was a minister and a member of Casa Grande Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a son, David Woodruff of Souderton, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Nancy Cross of Arriba, Colorado, Barbara Forss of Casa Grande and M. Joanne Pierson of Grass Valley, California; a brother, Claude "Reggie" Woodruff of Hedgesville, West Virginia; a sister, Jeanne Leister of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Woodruff Jr., and a granddaughter, Melinda J. Pierson.
