Gale Pearce, 67, died on May 24, 2011, at Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert.
The celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with Lorenzo Lucas and Dan Jefferies officiating.
Mr. Pearce was born on Dec. 12, 1943, in Florence and was a son of A. Paul Pearce and Alice M. Stinson. He was a lifelong cotton farmer in the Eloy area. He enjoyed team roping and trail rides and belonged to the Rancheros Visitadores and the Verde Vaqueros, two of the best known trail riding organizations in California and Arizona. He had a passion for playing guitar and performing with his friends. He served on boards and committees of area water, electrical and soil conservation districts.
Survivors include a son, Michael J. Pearce of Gilbert; a daughter, Trisha Lucas of Chandler; a brother, Glen Pearce of Cottonwood; a sister, Paula Prock of Casa Grande; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Myra Pearce Romero.
