Francisca Ortiz

BAPCHULE - Francisca Ortiz, 51, of Bapchule died on July 23, 2013, at home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. A wake will follow at St. Peter feast house. Burial will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in Ak-Chin Cemetery.

Ms. Ortiz was born on Aug. 24, 1961, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Antonio Ortiz and Regina Garcia. She was a 13-year employee of St. Peter Mission School, starting off as a janitor and later becoming a physical education assistant. She greatly enjoyed working with the students, faculty and staff.

Survivors include her fiance, Frank Gene Vincent of Bapchule; two daughters, Virginia Ortiz of Maricopa and Iris Ortiz of Bapchule; a son, Alejo "Joey" Pablo of Bapchule; two brothers, Luke and Leon Ortiz of Bapchule; three sisters, Irene Ortiz, Juliana Laborian and Anita Thomas, all of Bapchule; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
