Florine Mcwhirter

Florine May McWhirter, 91, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 20, 2014, at Family Tree Assisted Living.

A private service is planned.

Mrs. McWhirter was born on June 8, 1923, in Green Forest, Arkansas, and was a daughter of George and Elmina M. (Dunn) Haught. She was a homemaker and also was an operator for Southwestern Bell for two years. She was devoted to her family.

Survivors include a son, John D. McWhirter of Casa Grande; two daughters, Jackie Brockel of Wichita, Kansas, and June McWhirter of Florida; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Logan McWhirter Jr.; her second husband, Raymond Adams; a grandson, Adam Brady; and nine siblings.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Tree Assisted Living or Valley Humane Society.
