Florann Bolt
May 29, 1926 - August 22, 2019
Florann Bolt was born in Coos Bay, Oregon on May 29, 1926 to Mildred and Harry Johnson. She passed away peacefully with family surrounding her at Caliche Senior Living in Casa Grande, Arizona on August 22, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at Caliche Senior Living on August 28, 2019 at 10:00am.
Florann was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Orlyn Bolt of 68 years and her mother Mildred Dolan. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Young and Ellen Down, and son-in-laws, David Young and Dennis Down, and her stepson Christopher Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rich Young, Rebecca Coon, Alison Down and James Down. Florann also has 6 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Anna, Natalie, Benjamin, Olivia and Sophia.
Florann graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, Oregon. Shortly thereafter she began working in a doctor’s office. On August 31, 1946, she married her sweetheart and World War II hero, Ralph Bolt. Florann was a survivor of tuberculosis in her early twenties. She never allowed this illness or any circumstance in life to keep her from being a devoted wife, daughter, mother or friend. She was an avid reader, beautiful homemaker and placed her faith in Jesus Christ and trusted in the Bible as the infallible Word of God throughout her life. She was known for her powerful prayer life and the gift of encouragement especially to those who were facing tough times or difficult decisions.
Florann made this world a better place. She will be dearly missed and will remain in the hearts all those whose life were impacted by this kind, loving and caring saint. Those who knew her best also take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior. She would tell you His grace is sufficient for you and that the Word of God is true - only believe.
The family wishes to thank everyone involved in providing such loving care to Florann during the past several months, especially Hospice of the Valley, the staff and management at Caliche Senior Living and her pastors and church family at CrossRoads Church.
