Fidencio Terrazas Martinez

November 16, 1938 — February 19, 2008

Fidencio Terrazas Martinez, 69, of Casa Grande died Feb. 19, 2008 at home.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Mr. Martinez was born Nov. 16, 1938 in Zaragoza, Mexico, and lived in Arizona for 54 years He served in the Army for four years and was stationed in Germany. He was a self-employed auto mechanic.

He had an interest in computer technology and the Internet. He was a musician for most of his life and played several instruments. He sang lead and back-up vocals for his own band and other bands. He was the patriarch of his large family. He was strong and dignified with a dry sense of humor.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita DeLeon of Casa Grande; five sisters, Frances M. Perez, Esther Nieto, Mary Martinez and Rosemary Martinez, all of Casa Grande, and Otilia M. Heidemann of Phoenix; and a brother, Hilario T. Martinez of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Eddie, Joe and Cruz Martinez Jr.
