Eugene Paul Tashquinth

CHUICHU VILLAGE - Eugene Paul Tashquinth, 67, of Chuichu died on Dec. 31, 2018, at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix.

Mr. Tashquinth was born on Oct. 22, 1951, in Sacaton to Eugene and Thelma (Enos) Tashquinth. He worked for Cypress Mines on the Tohono O'odham Nation for 25 years as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed sports, especially football and the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Wildcats. He was a competitive team roper.

Survivors include two sons, Erik P. and Jacob Tashquinth; a brother, Gregory Tashquinth; a sister, Leanna Dupris-Tashquinth; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shana Tashquinth, and a brother, Anthony Tashquinth.

Service on Friday, Jan. 4, at the Tashquinth home in Chuichu. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Augustine Catholic Mission. Burial in Chuichu South Cemetery.
