Estol O. “Shorty” Davis, 96, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 2, 2009 at Arizona Heart Hospital.
The service of remembrance will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Leastman officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born on Oct. 12, 1913 in Stidham, Okla., and was a son of Sam and Lola Mae Davis. He was a plant foreman in the fertilizer and pesticide business. He was a member of New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene and a handyman with a talent for building or repairing many things. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, C. William Davis of Casa Grande; two daughters, Shirley Merritt of Tucson and Regina Clay of Chino Valley; a sister, Bessie Collins of Norman, Okla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; a twin brother, Eskol Davis; and a sister, Edith Arnold.
