Ernest "Ernie" Malzahn

ELOY - Ernest "Ernie" Malzahn, 78, of Eloy died on July 14, 2016.

Mr. Malzahn was born on Jan. 7, 1938, in Rochester, Michigan, to Ernest Malzahn Sr. and Vera (Haff) Malzahn. He was highly dedicated to the educational system, serving in Michigan as a teacher, coach and mentor.

He was an easygoing man with a loving personality. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. During his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and golfing. He had a positive impact on those he was near and loved being social and fun.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sue; a daughter, Melissa Malzahn; a son, Matthew Malzahn; a brother, Paul Malzahn; a sister, Patricia Kemppainen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The celebration of life will be announced later.
