Erik James Manuel

COCKLEBUR VILLAGE - Erik James Manuel, 34, of Cocklebur died on April 26, 2019, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Mr. Manuel was born on Sept. 16, 1984, in Phoenix to Jeffery Manuel and Venita Lopez. He attended Casa Grande Union High School and later worked as a landscaper for the Sif-Oidak District, Tohono O'odham Nation.

He would help landscape yards for family and friends when needed and liked playing baseball. He enjoyed working outdoors and loved to dance and socialize with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Venita Garcia and Jeffery Manuel; three daughters, Kaley and Zaria Manuel and Yolanda Vallareal; a son, Lyle Manuel; three brothers, Clark Manuel, Marcus and Keith Veltha; and a sister, Stacy Antone.

Wake beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at St. Francis Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 6. Burial in Cocklebur Cemetery.
