Elmer S. Manuel

SAN LUCY - Elmer S. Manuel Jr., 44, of San Lucy died July 6, 2009 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and will continue until sunrise at the San Lucy Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 6 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Dale Jamison presiding. Burial will be at 6 a.m. Saturday at the San Lucy Cemetery.

Mr. Manuel was born Nov. 8, 1964 in Phoenix. He was a son of Agnes Lispin and Elmer S. Manuel. He was an accomplished adobe brick maker and bead worker. He loved music and walking with nature and always liked to joke around.

He is survived by two sons, Maynard of Gila Bend and Sylvester of San Lucy; three daughters, Marlene of Gila Bend and Monica and Reeanna, both of San Lucy; two brothers, Alfred Sr. and Freeman Dora Jr., both of San Lucy; and three sisters, Alfrieda R. and Louise, both of San Lucy, and Leonardine of Buckeye. He was preceded in death by one son, Elmer S. III, and one sister, Verna Manuel.
