Elmer Leo Stephens

Elmer Leo Stephens, 80, of Casa Grande died Sept. 11, 2009 at home.

The memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Central Lutheran Church in Arizona City, with the Rev. Thom Stephens officiating.

Mr. Stephens was born Aug. 5, 1929 in Liberty, Kan., and was a son of Homer C. and Artie Esther Stephens. He served in the Navy and worked as an electrical engineer at Hewlett-Packard before retiring in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn J.; two daughters, Lizabeth Stephens of Phoenix and Susan Simmons of Colorado; two sons, Thomas Stephens of Arizona City and Mark Stephens of California; two sisters, Patsy Laws of California and Betty J. Preble of Kansas; and 10 grandchildren.
