Elaine L. Ramon

SACATON FLATS - Elaine Louise Ramon, 62, died on Jan. 10, 2015, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 2 Event Center, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Ramon was born on Aug. 8, 1952, in Gallup, New Mexico, and was a daughter of Francis Vavages and Nancy C. Manuel. She was an administrative assistant for the Gila River Indian Community before retirement. She loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, and loved to travel. She also loved listening to music, especially oldies and chicken scratch, and was a strong supporter and sponsor of her grandchildren in rodeos.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
