Doyle Eugene Dixon,

SACATON - Doyle Eugene Dixon Sr., 73, of Sacaton died July 31, 2007 at home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Monday in Sacaton East Cemetery, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating.

Mr. Dixon was born Sept. 12, 1933 in Bennington, Okla. He was a farmer and enjoyed growing watermelons. He also did drywall work in the area for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred (Johns); three brothers, J.T., Lewis and Leon Dixon, all of Casa Grande; two sisters, Naomi Durant and Clara Schaffer of Casa Grande; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Dixie Archuleta, Robert and Doyle Dixon Jr.
