Dorothy Shipp

Dorothy Shipp, 89, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 29, 2012, at Hospice Family Care.
A private service will be held later.
Mrs. Shipp was born on July 17, 1923, in Bisbee and was a daughter of Vita Everett and Elton Barksdale. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church. She was an artist who loved oil painting and a member of Villas by Mary T.'s WOW (Wonderful Old Women) Club.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Shipp of Casa Grande and Eugene Shipp of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Phil Barksdale of Yuma; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo F.; three brothers; and two sisters.
