January 12, 1927 — December 24, 2019

COOLIDGE - Doris Emmalee Adams, 92, died on Dec. 24, 2019.

Ms. Adams was born on Jan. 12, 1927, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to John L. and Bessie Adams. She moved from Arkansas to Arizona in 1952 with her family and lived the remainder of her life in Coolidge. She was passionate in her love for Jesus and wrote several songs and poems to express that. She often sang or recited these to people who visited her.

She loved the beauty of God's creation and considered palm trees, pine trees, mountains and clouds as precious gifts from God, handmade for her personal viewing pleasure. She would say, "Oh, look at my trees/mountains/clouds, aren't they beautiful?"

She was preceded in death by a brother, John G. Adams, and is survived by three sisters, Nina Adams and Shirley Martin of Coolidge and Lois Parker of Casa Grande; seven nieces and nephews; grandnieces and -nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews.

Graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, in Florence Cemetery.
