Dora "Nina" Rosales Mejias

VALLEY FARMS - Dora "Nina" Rosales Mejias, 79, of Valley Farms died peacefully at home on April 16, 2016, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Mejias was born on May 10, 1936, in Eloy and was a daughter of Santiago and Amelia Rosales. A homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her family and helped raise children from her extended family. She was loving and nurturing and prided herself in being hospitable to visitors.

She loved dressing up and going to Mass and loved to look at beautiful flowers. Carnations were her favorite. She made jokes and loved to laugh, and she liked to cook but also to eat out and shop. She liked sweets and always said they were "for the kids," but she ate them.

She is survived by a brother, Oscar Rosales of San Juan Capistrano, California, and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mejias, and a sister, Elodia Castillo.

Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church in Eloy.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
