Donna And Norbert Stewart

CASA BLANCA - Donna Marie Stewart, 62, of Casa Blanca died on April 20, 2014, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Her husband, Norbert Lynn Stewart Sr., 62, died there on April 24, 2014.

Visitation for both will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the District 5 Multipurpose Building, with rosary recited at 11. The graveside service will follow in Vah-Ki Cemetery, with Pastor Aaron Johns officiating.

Mrs. Stewart was born on July 21, 1951, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Edward Carmen and Geraldine Johns. She was a homemaker and a member of the school board in Gila River District 5. She loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren, listening to music and talking to her aunt Loretta Carmen. She also enjoyed having dinners and cookouts.

Survivors include two sons, Manny and Norbert Stewart Jr. of Casa Blanca; two daughters, Kristie Stewart of Sweetwater and Randi Stewart of Casa Blanca; her stepmother, Amanda Carmen of Lone Butte; two sisters, Colleen Antone of Laveen and Elaina Carmen of Lone Butte; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Cynthia and Andrea Stewart; four brothers, Gordon, Tony, Randy and Edward Carmen Jr.; two sisters, Leola Carmen and Consuela Lewis; and two grandsons, Zaul Ruvalcaba and Sheldon Stewart.

Mr. Stewart was born on Nov. 26, 1951, in Sacaton. He loved to farm, drive tractors and care for his animals. He also loved spending time with his family, cooking and having cookouts, and listening to music.

Survivors include two sons, Manny and Norbert Stewart Jr. of Casa Blanca; two daughters, Kristie Stewart of Sweetwater and Randi Stewart of Casa Blanca; a brother, John Stewart of Sacaton; a sister, Janice Stewart of Casa Blanca; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Cynthia and Andrea Stewart; two grandsons, Zaul Ruvalcaba and Sheldon Stewart; two brothers, Irwin and Virgil Stewart; a sister, Carol Stewart; and his parents, Harrison Stewart and Irma Jackson.
