Donald Catha

CASA BLANCA - Donald Augustine Catha, 76, of Casa Blanca died on Nov. 6, 2014, at Caring House in Sacaton.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Catha home, with rosary recited at 7 p.m. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in Sacate Cemetery, with Julian Pedro officiating.

Mr. Catha was born on Aug. 1, 1938, in Sacate and was a son of Jose and Listiana Catha. He was a farmworker and enjoyed watching TV, hanging out outside, sitting with Ruth and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Burke; four daughters, Valenda Catha of Bapchule, Francine Santos of Casa Blanca, Sophia Joaquin of Paradise Valley and Felita White of Santan; two sons, Kevin Catha and Ronald Burke of Casa Blanca; a sister, Evelyn Jackson of Casa Blanca; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Joaquin; three brothers, Wilford, Patrick and Francis Catha; three sisters, Edwina, Bridgette and Alice Catha; and a grandson, Kelvin Burnette.
