Dominga B. Minjares 84 of Eloy/Tucson died on April 30, 2022. Dominga was born in Hatch, New Mexico to Felix and Concepcion Barela on January 2, 1938.
Dominga enjoyed reading, walking, and cooking. She loved God, her church and reading her Bible. She was known as having an excellent memory and could recall everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, and phone numbers not only of her family but those of her brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Dominga was married to the love of her life Felipe on October 8, 1954 and missed being with him since he passed in 1997. She has gone to join him in the presence of the Lord and will be singing in Heaven with him like she did here on Earth. She was baptized at the First United Pentecostal Church in Eloy on February 17th, 1964.
Dominga enjoyed her independence and always took care of anyone with a need whether it was feeding you when you were hungry, sharing her knowledge of the Bible, or simply saying a prayer for you. Her family would all agree she was a great mom and took care of her loving family. She will be missed by all.
Dominga is preceded in death by her husband Felipe V Minjares; sons Jacob “Cobie” Minjares and Clemente Minjares; her parents Felix and Concepcion Barela; sisters Margerite Tapia, Piedad Montes and Connie Sanchez, brothers Augustine Barela, Ernesto Barela, Felix Barela, Refugio Barela, and Manuel Barela.
