The celebration of life for Dollie Mae Kurtz, 89, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Living Waters Church of God in Casa Grande, with Pastor Louis Hulsey officiating.
Ms. Kurtz was born on May 9, 1922, in Thornton, Ark., and died on March 26, 2011, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was a daughter of Frank and Mary Evans Bull. She worked for the Lorain School District in Ohio for 40 years. She loved to embroider and make quilts and rugs for family members. She also loved to read and always thought about others’ feelings. She was a strong person who loved her family and made sure her children had what they needed, even when times were tough.
Survivors include four sons, Jimmie Boyett of Maricopa, Frank Boyett of Cave Springs, Ga., Edward Kurtz of Lorain and Benjamin Kurtz of Gautier, Miss.; four daughters, Mary Jane Coleman of New Martinsville, W.Va., Rose Anne Heitzenrater of Virginia Beach, Va., Winona Steve of Lorain and Declia Kurtz of Pascagoula; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
