Dirk Kalka

UPPER SANTAN - Dirk Kalka Jr., 57, of Upper Santan died on May 27, 2015, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

The wake will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the Kalka home. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in Upper Santan Cemetery, with Pastor Ruth Ludlow officiating.

Mr. Kalka was born on March 1, 1958, in Sacaton. He graduated from Phoenix Indian School and received a certificate in auto mechanics from Central Arizona College and a welder’s certificate from Long Beach City College. He was an auto mechanic and formerly worked for the Gila River Indian Community and the Mul-Chu-Tha Tribal Fair. He liked to draw and be with his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Felicia Kalka of Sacaton; a son, Mark Kalka of Upper Santan; his parents, Angeline and Dirk Kalka Sr. of Upper Santan; and four sisters, Caralita, Ginger, Patria and Katherine Kalka, all of Upper Santan.
