Diane Edith Jackson

SACATON - Diane Edith Jackson, 63, died on Feb. 19, 2019.

Ms. Jackson was born on Dec. 23, 1955, to Shirley and Verton Jackson Sr. in Sacaton. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, had a great sense of humor and loved to dance. She loved her grandchildren and the time she spent with them.

She loved to be outside and enjoyed listening to live music. She was involved with her community and church and loved helping others. One of her favorite icons was Betty Boop.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Luis Lopez Sr.; five adult children, Molly Cu:k Ba'ak, Laine Norris, Kitt Norris, Marachel Jackson-Hernandez and Wyatt Norris; two brothers, Travis and Verton Jackson Jr.; three sisters, Roselyn Aamodt, Lavern Jackson and Marlo Lewis; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerard Walker, and a sister, Verlene Jackson.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the District 3 Service Center in Sacaton. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at St. John Catholic Church, with burial in St. John Cemetery in Komatke.
