Desray Lara

FLORENCE - DesRay Sue Lara, 25, died on Dec. 28, 2017.

Ms. Lara was born on Jan. 15, 1992, in Casa Grande to Martin and Carla Lara of Florence. She loved cheerleading, riding quads, paintballing, fishing with her dad, travel and hanging out with her family and friends.

She also liked to paint and garden. She loved to cruise through town and listen to music, but most of all she loved her two beautiful girls. She loved to turn up country music and dance away with them, and they were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her daughters, Lovely and Lacey Lara of Florence; her parents, of Florence; four brothers, Joey, Bryce, Jake and Brody, all of Florence; and three sisters, Heavenly, Myla and Aubrey, all of Florence. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd and Charlotte Turner, Joe C. and Estella Lara.

Wake from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, at the Gila River District 2 Service Center. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission in Sacaton Flats. Burial in Florence Cemetery.
