Denny Prock

November 2, 1916 — March 24, 2015

Denny Prock, 98, of Casa Grande died on March 24, 2015, at Rim Country Health in Payson.

The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel in Eloy, with Pastor Timothy Green officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mr. Prock was born on Nov. 2, 1916, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and was a son of William and Alice Prock. He served in the Army and owned and operated Main Street Supermarket in Eloy. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, hunting, fishing, doing all kinds of carpentry work and going to Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino & Resort to have the buffet.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Julia; a son, Danny Prock of Dewey; a daughter, Pat Sterkenberg of Casa Grande; three stepsons, Benjamin Amaya of Coolidge, Leo Amaya of Las Vegas and Lino Amaya of Oregon; four stepdaughters, Avelina Malosh of Casa Grande, Stella Ponce of Eloy, Paula Amaya of Coolidge and Juanita Granado of California; 49 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Wilbert, Vernon and Kenneth Prock; two stepsons, Jesus and Robert Amaya; two grandsons, Daman Prock and Victor Granado Jr.; two brothers, Bailey and Hesco Prock; and three sisters, Carrie and Betty Prock and Addie Short.
