Daniel Howard Lewis

SACATON - Daniel Howard Lewis, 79, died May 8, 2008 in Sun City.


Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 4 Service Center, with all choirs welcome. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in Vah-ki Cemetery, with Pastor Aaron Johns officiating.

Mr. Lewis was born April 16, 1929 in Sacaton and was a son of Joe and Nannie Lewis. He was a farmer. He enjoyed playing pool and being with friends and family. He was a big fan of the Diamondbacks and Suns.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Marlene Norris of Upper Santan; two stepsons, Cyrus and Mel Johnson of Sacaton; a sister, Christine Brown of Laveen; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his companion, Lydia Johnson; two sisters; and four brothers.
