Daniel E. Valdez Sr.

TUCSON - Daniel E. Valdez Sr., 80, died on April 24, 2019, in Phoenix.

Mr. Valdez was born to Pedro and Mercedes Valdez in Redington, near Tucson, on June 21, 1938. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved camping, fishing, golf, hunting and working on cars.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Torres; six adult children, Maria V. Paz of Tucson, Angela V. Klingenburg of Elk River, Minnesota, Gloria Young of Savannah, Georgia, Bobby Reyna of Safford, Gene Reyna of Casa Grande and Alicia Rodriguez of Casa Grande; eight brothers; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church in Tucson, with rosary recited at 11. Funeral Mass celebrated at 11:30. Burial in Holy Hope Cemetery.
