BAPCHULE - Dana Kisto, 81, of Bapchule died on Aug. 8, 2018.

Mr. Kisto was born on Dec. 3, 1936, in Sacaton to Jose Kisto and Susie Brown-Kisto of Casa Blanca. He was an alcohol and drug counselor for 45 years on the Gila River and Salt River Indian communities and helped and cared for everyone. He impacted many lives.

He loved being around his family and liked Star Wars, reading and just driving around enjoying the scenery. He gave everyone nicknames.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Peters of Casa Blanca and Arlana Save of Tempe; 27 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Arlene Cannon-Kisto; a sister; a brother; six daughters; and three sons.

Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, at the Irene Stover home, 4121 W. Lollipop Road in Casa Blanca. Graveside service at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, in Vah-Ki Cemetery, with Pastor Waylan Soke officiating.
