COOLIDGE — Corina Galindo Yucupicio, 63, of Coolidge died on Jan. 23, 2011, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Mrs. Yucupicio was born on Feb. 4, 1947, in Columbus, N.M. She was a secretary at Central Arizona College for 33 years and enjoyed the students, whom she called her children. She was devoted to her family and friends, and her grandson, Ben, was the light of her life. She loved reading and learning something new every day. She also enjoyed travel, and her favorite hobby was beadwork. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and going to casinos once in a while.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas H.; a daughter, Melinda Yucupicio of Coolidge; her mother, Elena Galindo of Coolidge; six sisters, Celia Nieto of Coolidge, Eva Nieto of Oracle, Ofelia Nieto of Tucson, Esther Ruiz of Florence, Irene Moon of Arizona City and Nellie Palacios of Coolidge; three brothers, Frank Diaz of Fresno, Calif., Robert Galindo of Silver City, N.M., and Leo Galindo of Arizona City; and one grandson.
