CUCKELBUR VILLAGE - Consuelo T. Garcia, 53, of Tucson died April 30, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital.


Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Friday at the Andrews home in Cuckelbur, followed by the wake. Burial will be in Cuckelbur Cemetery.

Ms. Garcia was born in Phoenix. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved to clean and enjoyed basket weaving.

Survivors include her husband, Horace Newman; two daughters, Cynthia M. Andrews and Ayesha Andrews of Tucson; a son, Alfred Andrews Jr. of Tucson; her mother, Delia Turner Miles of Tucson; three sisters, Della Garcia of Glendale, Linda Flores and Michelle Escobar of Phoenix; two brothers, Marcos Puente of Tucson and Armando Escobar of Texas; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Garcia and Ronny Luis.
