Cloyd Ross

Cloyd A. Ross, 95, died on Jan. 15, 2011, in Casa Grande.
Mr. Ross was born on April 12, 1915, in Lucerne, Ind., and was a son of Cloyd A. Ross Sr. and Lena Webber Ross. After attending junior college in Bakersfield, Calif., he transferred to the University of California at Berkeley. He was drafted into the Marine Corps and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Benicia, Calif. He worked for ASARCO in California and Hayden, Ariz., for 39 years.
He was devoted to his family and was known for his dry sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, June; a daughter, Jean Payne; a son, Richard Ross; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ross.
No service is planned.
