Clifford Jose

CHUICHU - Clifford Jose, 64, died Sept. 25, 2007 at home.


Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Mission in Kohatk Village. Burial will be in North Cemetery there.

Mr. Jose was born Nov. 2, 1942 in Kohatk and was a son of Alonzo and Lupe Jose. He was a laborer and enjoyed music, playing with the Jose & Gomez band. He liked playing chicken scratch and mariachi music, and also played with a fiddlers group. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Mission and helped with fundraising, with a goal of building a new church. He also volunteered at St. Augustine Church in ChuiChu and St. Francis Mission in White Horse Pass Village.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margaret; two sisters, Sally Jose of Kohatk and Marlene Jose of Sells; two brothers, Jefford Jose of Kohatk and Victor Jose of Kerwo Village; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Joe H. Jose.
