Clifford Dwayne Thomas

SACATON — Clifford Dwayne Thomas, 63, died on Nov. 27, 2009 in Sacaton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the family home. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Stotonic Cemetery, with Brother Irving Terry officiating.

Mr. Thomas was born on April 21, 1946 in Sacaton and was a son of Burke and Eugenia Thomas. He was a farm worker and cowboy, working on cattle roundups in various states. He formerly competed in rodeos. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Merle Haggard. He enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Majel; a daughter, Michelle Martinez of Ak-Chin, Tohono O’odham Nation; a son, Terrell Thomas of Sacaton; a brother, Anthony Thomas of Casa Blanca; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Coleman.
