SANTA ROSA — Christopher James “Woggie” Lopez, 31, died on Nov. 4, 2009 at Sells Indian Health Service Hospital.
The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the Lopez home, with the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot officiating. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. The wake will continue until 6 a.m. Burial will be Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa South Cemetery.
Mr. Lopez was born on June 28, 1978 in Tucson. He graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, Calif., and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as a corrections officer. He was a transcriber for the Tohono O’odham Nation’s legislative branch. He had many friends on MySpace and was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Survivors include his companion, Regina Fields-Foster; his mother, Dorothy Lopez of Santa Rosa; two sisters, Cynthia Manuel and Kathleen Domingo of Santa Rosa; five brothers, Camillus, Waylon, Isidro, Luterio and Lucius Lopez, all of Santa Rosa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Deacon Philip Lopez.
