Chico Lewis

BLACKWATER - Chico Lewis, 85, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 9, 2015, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Blackwater Annex. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Lewis was born on Feb. 28, 1930, and was a son of Jose Lewis and Thomasa Ortez. He worked in agriculture and loved listening to chicken scratch music along with playing guitar and accordion. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid walker and sports fan, especially of baseball.

Survivors include three daughters, Lilly Lewis of Eloy, Margaret Lewis of Tucson and Jeannette Ray of Phoenix; a son, Francisco Lewis of Eloy; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Gabriel and Gilbert Anguamea.
