Charlotte Alphus

COOLIDGE - Charlotte M. Alphus, 66, of Coolidge died on Sept. 23, 2013, in Gilbert.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the family home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bapchule by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Ms. Alphus was born on Oct. 13, 1946, in Bapchule and was a daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Gibson. She was a habilitation technician for the state and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, children and friends. She enjoyed riding around with friends, sewing, word searches and her cats. She also enjoyed music, especially chicken scratch and Mexican.
Survivors include two sons, Rolando Gomez Sr. and Jimmy Alphus Sr. of Coolidge; a brother, Vernon Gibson of Bapchule; two sisters, Kathy Gibson of Phoenix and Theresa Gibson of Bapchule; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Alphus; a brother, Michael Gibson; a sister, Gloria Gibson; and a grandchild, Antonio Macias Jr.
