SACATON FLATS — Carol June Martinez, 52, died on Nov. 12, 2009 at home.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Martinez home in Sacaton Flats. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Casa Blanca Assembly of God, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mrs. Martinez was born on June 20, 1957 in Sacaton. She lived in Sacaton Flats for several years and was a nursing assistant.
Survivors include her husband, Bernardo Sr.; three sons, Roberto Martinez Jr. of Tucson, Joseph Martinez of Casa Grande and Casimiro Martinez of Sacaton Flats; three stepsons, Harold, Isaiah and Bernardo Martinez Jr., all of Sacaton; 12 sisters, Yolanda Quintero, Gaynell Lopez, Angeline Ruvalcaba, Lynette Isais, all of Casa Blanca, Denise Garay of Sacaton, Coletta Ulloa of Phoenix, Alberta Breckenridge and Janice Jackson of Gila Crossing, Sheila Santos of Iowa, Renita Lewis, Lilly Thomas and Estelle Santos, all of Casa Blanca; four brothers, Merlin Thompson of Casa Blanca, Carlos Santos Sr. of Salt River, Cedric Santos Jr. of Santan and Warren Santos Sr. of Chandler; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgiana and Cedric Santos Sr.; a son, Calvin S.L. Johns; and a daughter, Rebecca Martinez.
