Carlos Valdez

GLENDALE - Carlos Valdez Jr., 55, of Glendale died on Sept. 23, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia, 602 E. Belmont Drive in Avondale. The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
Mr. Valdez was born on Dec. 9, 1957, in Avondale. He worked in construction and was a member of Laborers’ Union Local 383. His hobby was his family, and he enjoyed barbecues and family gatherings.
Survivors include his parents, Emilia Valdez of Tucson and Carlos Valdez Sr. of Phoenix; a brother, Felipe S. Valdez of Phoenix; two sisters, Stella Harvey of Tucson and Emma Espinoza of Glendale; and four grandchildren.
