Callista Stein

On January 3, 2023, heaven gained another beautiful angel. Callista Jo Stein, 37, daughter of Karen Stein, peacefully left this earth to celebrate and dance with all of her departed loved ones, especially her father Jerrold (Jerry) Stein.

Callista was born on June 14, 1985 in Dickinson, North Dakota. In 1989 she moved with her family to Casa Grande, AZ where she attended grade school and high school.

Callista was a joy to all who knew her, from her infectious giggle to her loving hugs. She loved music, listening to it or putting her musical toys up to her ear. She loved water, whether in the pool, bath, or shower. Another one of her favorite activities was eating. She liked almost all foods except surprisingly, Ice Cream! Callista thoroughly enjoyed her cherished roommates, all of their attention and activities, but she would let you know when she needed her space!! She was comforted by rubbing her head or back and she loved holding your hand. Callista was a real trooper throughout all of her different medical issues. A special thanks to all of the staff at Arizona Mentor for all their love and care during Callista's adult life. Her sweet gentle soul will be missed.

Callista is survived by her mother Karen Stein, two brothers, Kyle Stein - St. Helen's, OR and Tyler Stein - Casa Grande, AZ. Her niece and nephew Layla and Aiden Stein. Grandmother Ann Stein - Bismarck, ND. Aunts and Uncles, Gloria (Wayne) Hatzenbuhler - Bismarck, ND, Marla (Bruce) Kautzman - Casa Grande, AZ, Julie (Jeff) Olsen - Prior Lake, MN, Judy (Dave) Holstad - Casa Grande, AZ. Jane (Walter) Botts - Billing, MT, Jacky (Jeff) Herauf - Keenesburg, CO, James (Audrey) Stein - Springfield, VA and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Jerrold (Jerry) Stein, Grandparents Peter and Josephine Muth, John Stein, Clarence and Bernice Pagel.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 2-4pm at J Warren Funeral Services in the Garden Chapel, Casa Grande, AZ. Burial will be at a later date in Dickinson, ND.
