SACATON FLATS - Brian B. Lewis, 39, of Sacaton Flats died on Sept. 17, 2013, in Chandler.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the family home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Mission in Florence Village, with Deacon Alfred Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis was born on Nov. 5, 1973, in Sacaton. He graduated from Florence High School in 1991 and Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kan., in 1995. He studied at the Arizona State Museum in Tucson and was working toward a computer-aided design certificate at Central Arizona College. He was an archeological draftsman and surveyor.
He had a great interest in archeology, history and travel. He liked both college and professional football, especially the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Arizona Cardinals. He was very helpful, liked to make people happy and was a practical joker. His passion was his family, friends, music, cars, guns and barbecue.
Survivors include his companion, Adrienne Manuel; his mother and father, Linda Juarez and Lawrence Lewis of Florence; a sister, Claudina Lewis of Florence; and a brother, Nicholas Lewis of San Tan Valley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Rose Juarez.
