Brenda Faye James

SACATON FLATS — Brenda Faye James, 63, of Sacaton Flats died on May 31, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the District 2 Event Center. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Thursday at Sacaton Flats Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Loretta Blackwater officiating. Burial will be in Sacaton Flats Cemetery.
Ms. James was born on May 5, 1950, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Edison and Christine James. She was a hard worker as a registered nurse until she became a dialysis patient. She liked watching TV, especially the Diamondbacks, Cardinals and Suns, and liked her pets. She loved kids and working with them in the pediatrics unit at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed travel and doing activities with the elderly. A member of Sacaton Flats Presbyterian Church and the church treasurer, she played softball and the traditional women’s field hockey toka.
Survivors include three brothers, Cedric James of Kearny, Floyd and Duane James of Sacaton Flats, and a sister, Dorinda L. James of Sacaton Flats. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda James.
