Boyd Huffman

SCOTTSDALE - Boyd Earl Huffman, 84, of Scottsdale died on Aug. 15, 2014, at Friendship Village in Tempe.

The celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Huffman was born on Sept. 23, 1929, in Cass County, Missouri, and was a son of Virgil E. and Bertha B. (Dobbins) Huffman. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955, was a Korean War veteran and a staff sergeant. He later was a chemical engineer in the aerospace industry.

Survivors include a son, Greg B. Huffman of Casa Grande; a daughter, Elisha Woodruff of Scottsdale; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye Jo; a sister, Frances Whited; and a grandson, Matthew "MD" Huffman.
