ARIZONA CITY - Billy Dan Davis, 78, of Arizona City died on Oct. 3, 2013, at home.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande. The funeral will follow at 11. Ford L. Jennings and Pastor Marie Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born on April 23, 1935, in Snyder, Texas, and was a son of Christine and Jim Davis Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator and was known as a fun guy who was family oriented and loved people. He loved to drive and was a good driver.
He was a good cook, loved his children and grandchildren, other family members and friends, loved to play poker and gamble, and took time to talk to anyone who came to his house. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and liked to fish.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lendora; five sons, Tracy Collins and Billy Davis Jr. of Casa Grande, Nickolas "Headquarters" Gaines of Phoenix, Anthony Davis of Amarillo, Texas, and Edward Perkins of Houston; four daughters, Latasha Davis of Phoenix, Roshell and Roslyn Davis of Casa Grande and Linda Faye Davis of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Richard "RD" Davis of Tucson; 79 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Dan Davis II; a brother, Jim Davis Jr.; and two granddaughters, Mollisha Livingston and Naveh Davis.
