Betty Jo Burns

ARIZONA CITY - Betty Jo Burns, 72, of Arizona City died March 2, 2009.


Mrs. Burns was born Nov. 3, 1936 in Picacho and was a daughter of Layton and Lottie Ready. She worked in food service at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge. She also was a greeter at Wal-Mart for several years.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah English and Jacqueline Weddle of Arizona City; a sister, Evelyn Hammond of Arivaca; a brother, Robert Ready of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, and a sister, Georgia Aguirre.
