Betty Cathemer

Betty Carol Cathemer, 85, died at home in Casa Grande on Dec. 22, 2013.

Mrs. Cathemer was born Betty Carol Ashby in Parkin, Ark., on March 29, 1928. She lived in Florence and later moved to Casa Grande, where she and her husband raised their six children. She had a wonderful life with her family, whom she enjoyed very much. She was creative and loved music, cooking and her home.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Lionel P. Armenta Jr., Robert L. Armenta, Phillip A. Armenta and Cheryl C. Lowe; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rosemary Barnes and Amy Anderson; her husband, Ed Cathemer; and a sister, Mary.

A private service will be held later.
