Bert Thomas

AK-CHIN - Bertrand "Bert" Thomas, 50, died on Jan. 15, 2018.

Mr. Thomas was born on April 13, 1967, in Sacaton to Herbert B. and Virginia Thomas. He worked as a general laborer.

He enjoyed playing the drums, listening to music, dancing, socializing with family and friends, and watching the Arizona Cardinals. He was a kindhearted man.

He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Ariana B. Homer; and a grandson, David T. Thomas. He is survived by three daughters, Leigh Ann Thomas of Stanfield, Leighsa Homer of Ak-Chin and Kristina Garcia of Stanfield; a son, Andrew Homer of Stanfield; and his mother.

Wake beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Ak-Chin Service Center. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, at St. Francis Catholic Mission by the Rev. Benedict Mary Lieb. Burial in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
