ARIZONA CITY - Bennie Joe Williams, 66, of Arizona City died at home on April 3, 2016.

Mr. Williams was born on July 17, 1949, in Gila Bend and was a son of Henry B. Williams and Luciel Brice. He served in the military, was an automotive detailer and enjoyed cooking, barbecuing and telling jokes. He loved his wife and family and was the backbone of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a son, Terrance Boykin of Arizona City; four brothers, Earthy Williams Sr. and Richard Williams of Eloy, Aaron and Dan Williams of Phoenix; six sisters, Lois Riley and Merlene McGary of Phoenix, Kathryn Jones of Chandler, Louise White of Casa Grande, Mary Williams and Mabelean White of Eloy; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Henry Williams Jr., and two sisters, Quincie Tyler and Lucy Washington.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Friday at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande. The funeral will follow at 9, with the Rev. R.B. Fowler and the Rev. Dan Williams officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
